A metro-Detroit business, Troy Design & Manufacturing Company was founded in the early 1980's. The company began as a stamping engineering and sheet metal prototype supplier to the Big Three. In time, TDM built a reputation as an expert in these fields, especially when the parts were stamped from exotic materials.

Stamping: Our custom dies are now used in our press line where they will form parts ranging from side panels of cars to small hinges and brackets.

DESCRIPTION: 

Stamping (also known as pressing) is the process of placing flat sheet metal in either blank or coil form into a stamping press where a tool and die surface forms the metal into a net shape. Stamping includes a variety of sheet-metal forming manufacturing processes, such as punching, using a machine press or stamping press, blanking, embossing, bending, flanging, and coining.
