Variety of Materials
TDM’s RLSK laser head allows for a variety of materials to be welded. We have successfully welded parts made of steel, aluminum, brass, and boron.
Currently welding with a PF LCA-100-30 fiber optic cable, our capability grew with having the ability to weld brass and aluminum successfully.
TDM has welded multiple commodities in the Rivian R1S and R1T platform, AB rings in multiple Ford programs, as well as the S650 7X complete Mustang bodyside which contained over 82 laser welds.
Benefits of Using RLSK Software for Robotic Laser Welding
The RLSK software enables TDM to apply any type of shape weld to a part. We can apply a staple, C shape, vertical or horizontal line, or any type of symbol weld that the customer requires.
TDM has the ability to disperse different levels of heat to match the customers expectations without deforming critical class A areas of the part.
